what we do Performing Medicine provides training to medical students and healthcare professionals through a range of specialized activities: Teaching Within the Curriculum Performing Medicine is part of the core curriculum at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. We provide compulsory workshops and lectures to all 1st, 2nd and 5th Year students. Interventions in other areas of the curriculum can be provided in response to requests from students and tutors. Extra Curricular Programme An extensive programme of extra curricular courses designed to support students at particularly demanding times of their training. Professional development Workshops for practicing health professionals in presentation skills and
team building. Public Events Performing Medicine programmes events, discussions and performances which aim to engage the general public in debates at the heart of contemporary medical practice. Previous events include a hugely successful Performing Medicine Season. Artist Training We train excellent artists to work in medical education settings. Consultancy We help medical education institutions to engage with artists and arts methodologies. Research We are constantly researching and developing new ways to engage students and public in debates about the practice of medicine and health care |
